In the absence of a full Carnival programme

Due to the coronavirus situation derailing our plans to hold Aldeburgh Carnival in 2020, we have a handful of low-key events to try and keep the spirit alive.  We are pleased to announce the following:

In lieu of a Silent Auction event this year, we have a unique lot – an Ed Sheeran LP “No. 6”, signed by the artist himself, and donated directly to Aldeburgh Carnival.  We are holding a raffle draw via 32Auctions to win this rare piece of music history.  Tickets are £5 each, you can of course buy more than one, and proceeds of the raffle will be donated to the Aldeburgh Parish Nurse – a service that provides front-line nursing care, working for the charitable sector with Aldeburgh Baptist Church in the community of Aldeburgh and close by, helping in areas that aren’t currently being met by other agencies.  Aldeburgh Carnival Committee are pleased to support this vital facility.  Buy a raffle ticket or two, and help us help the people who help the people.  Without the local community, there would be no Carnival, and your ticket purchases really will make a difference.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, to collate a Digital Carnival experience – perfect for those of you who will miss Carnival this year as much as we will.  A preview video of what to expect can be found on YouTube –

With everyone trying to adapt and innovate with technology, so are we.  The Children’s Poster Competition This enjoyable event for children will take place electronically, with a theme of “See you next year”.  Full details can be found below, with entries and queries to be directed to
