After a break of two years, plans are afoot to bring back the carnival this year on Saturday, 13th, Sunday 14th and Monday 15th August.
In order to go ahead, the carnival will rely on 100’s of volunteers over that weekend, whether it be to help with the Saturday Music event, the 10k run on Sunday, the traditional carnival procession, magical lantern procession, the stunning firework display or the many supporting attractions that make up this community event.
We know that some of our loyal helpers may not return and in order to proceed, we need lots of people to come forward to fill those gaps.
COULD YOU BE ONE OF THEM?
Why not come to the re-launch meeting in the Church Hall on WEDNESDAY, 6th APRIL at 7.30pm to find out more. Just a couple hours of your time (although more would always be welcome) over the carnival weekend could ensure that this traditional event, which started in 1927, returns once again to the Aldeburgh summer calendar with a BANG!
WHAT COULD YOU DO?
There are jobs for everyone, whether it be selling draw tickets, collecting money, stewarding, manual work or a myriad of other tasks.
We are required to comply with strict event management criteria and cannot proceed unless we have the enough helpers. Please come along and find out more!
