Rosie Smith

The excitement surrounding the Aldeburgh Carnival is building as the 2025 Carnival Queen and her attendants have been announced. Leading the procession during the carnival weekend, scheduled for Saturday, August 16 to Monday, August 18, will be 18-year-old Rosie Smith, accompanied by her two attendants, 9-year-old Seren Foxon-Payne and 10-year-old Florence Anderton.

Rosie, a Year 13 student at Farlingaye Sixth Form, is thrilled to take on the role of Carnival Queen. Studying Criminology, Health and Social Care, and Sociology, she also works at the Chocolate Teapot on Aldeburgh High Street. “It has always been a dream of mine to be Carnival Queen,” said Rosie, who previously served as a Carnival Attendant in 2018 and has been an active volunteer ever since.
