Aldeburgh's Awesome 10k Mini Marathon!
How to Enter:

Pick up an entry form on the day from the registration area.

Register on the greens immediately north of the Moot Hall between 09:00am and 09:45am.
Registration Fees:

Adult online registration £12.00 + 50p administration fee.

Adult registration on the day £15.00.

Junior online registration Free.
-
Junior registration on the day Free.
Juniors must be under 14 years on the day. Junior registrations MUST be countersigned by the adult who will be responsible for the safety of the entrant for the duration of the event.
The Start:
-
Assemble in the road outside the Moot Hall from 09:45am.

Participants will be arranged into 3 groups at the start dependant on their expected race time:
-
Elite runners (sub 50 minutes) will be towards the front behind the green flag.
-
Regular runners (50 – 70 minutes) will be in the middle behind the orange flag.
-
Casual runners (over 70 minutes) will be towards the back behind the red flag.

Please observe the coloured flags to get into the right group to avoid congestion at the start of the race.

The run will commence at 10:00am.
The Route:

Copies of the route can be found in the carnival brochure, via the link https://www.aldeburghcarnival.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/10k-Map.pdf, and will be available to entrants when they register / pick up their race numbers on the day. The route is well signed and marshalled.

Participants MUST observe the Highway Code at all times and take care when crossing roads!

Participants MUST NOT use the main road.

No dogs are permitted on the short stretch of beach that forms part of the route in Thorpeness. For this reason, and in the interests of animal welfare, we ask that you leave your pet at home.
The Prizes:

Medals will be presented by the Mayor to all competitors finishing by 12:00pm.

Trophies for the first male, first lady, first junior boy and first junior girl will be presented by the Mayor at 12:00pm on the Moot Hall steps. Trophies are retained and displayed in the Moot Hall throughout the year. Winners may wish to arrange for a photograph to be taken at the prize giving.
